OCDC WELCOMES NEW CHIEF OPERATING
OFFICER TONY TOWERY

OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 24, 2023) – The Oklahoma County Detention Center has hired Tony Towery to serve as Chief Operating Officer. Towery began his law enforcement career as a Detention Officer at OCDC in YEAR, then spent a majority of his career at the Moore Police Department. Most recently he was attached to the U.S. Marshals Service taskforce. “I am excited to return to the place where my career began. This is very challenging but also important time for the jail as we work to maintain the facility and begin the planning for a new one,” Towery said. “I look forward to the hard work ahead to bring about real and sustained change to the jail.” “Leadership is not about ruling over others, but about serving them.” said Brandi Garner, Interim CEO of the Oklahoma County Detention Center. “Chief Towery brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position. He is a dedicated professional who leads by example, and we are excited to have him in a leadership role.”
