OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 18, 2022) – The Oklahoma County Detention Center has hired Paul Timmons as Chief of Investigations. Timmons brings 34 years of law enforcement experience to the Jail. He recently retired as a captain from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP). During his many years of service with OHP, Timmons held several leadership positions, including Troop R Commander, Special Operations Commander and Public Affairs Commander. Timmons is an experienced leader and will head the jail’s criminal investigations unit. The unit is comprised of several investigators with backgrounds in the OHP, the Department of Corrections and the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. Combined, they have more than 100 years of law enforcement experience. “Chief Timmons will be a valuable member of our leadership team,” said Greg Williams, CEO of the Oklahoma County Detention Center. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to further our mission to provide and maintain a safe and secure environment for detainees and employees.” Timmons said he will focus on improving investigation processes and procedures and building teamwork. “The investigations unit plays a critical role in the safety and security of detainees and staff,” Timmons said. “I look forward to working with a team of highly skilled investigators in helping create and maintain a safe and secure facility.”
